My favorite thing about Cherry Reds is its ‘American Graffiti’ style. The place truly looks like a coffee shop straight out of ‘Happy Days’, only missing a jukebox packed with hits from Bill Haley, The Skyliners, and The Everly Brothers.
I don’t know how coffee tasted back in the ’50s, but hopefully better than what is served here.
The espresso, made with a Conti machine, left me perplexed, both for its size—the cup was filled almost to the top—and its flavor, which was quite acidic, though not undrinkable.
The Fonz’s thumbs would be pointing down.
