I would call the espresso from Second Cup “average,” but that shouldn’t be taken as a negative remark.
It’s average because it’s “just” good, ranking in the middle: far from bad, but not remarkable enough to make its way into the top leagues.
The flavour is enjoyable, though it lacks a bit of strength, perhaps diluted due to the large amount of coffee served even with a single espresso.
Nevertheless, it’s another solid choice when you’re looking for a quick and easy fix.
UPDATE: As of Autumn 2025 Second Coffee has closed down for good.
